Rarely do I see meat eaters share their thoughts on this matter without significant bias. This is refreshing to see! Going vegan is one of the smallest changes you can make in your lifestyle to make the biggest impact on the world. In the modern society, it's been scientifically proven over and over that we don't require meat to survive, in fact, the longest living humans eat primarily plant-based foods. Going vegan or at least reducing your animal-derived foods consumption by x% will have a significant impact on the planet, your health, animals, and it may even help fight global pandemics. Eating vegan is as delicious as any other usual diet - the question is: do we need to involve those who can't choose into our food choices. Thanks for writing this, this deserved my follow! Please, if you have any questions about veganism, I am happy to discuss.

Goods piece. The reason and logic presented are honest and without bias. Familiar territory for anyone that’s taken the reality of the food system into context and given it a full perspective. The idea of not eating meat seems too great and inconvenient for most to overcome. It’s a topic that’s morphed into something dogmatic- no different from religion, guns, politics. I consider these topics together to be somewhat of a new 4 horseman type paradigm. They’re off the table discussions for most given the level of attachment individuals have to them. From a psychological perspective, it makes up a considerable part of their identity, ego. Additionally, the violence and suffering the food system causes is far enough removed from people that they’re able to disconnect the two.
